Northern Guy
Guy Motors of Wolverhampton became a major bus manufacturer during the second world war as other major bus chassis makers were engaged on vital war work. The Guy Arab was the only chassis available to bus companies during these years but many were so pleased with its reliability and performance (it was powered by the trusty Gardner 5LW or 6LW engine) that they continued to order well into the post war years. This example dating from 1946 gave nearly 25 years service to Northern and is seen in its final livery.
