Silver Star Leyland Decker
Silver Star, in addition to their coach operations ran service buses in and around Salisbury from their base at Porton Down and this Leyland PD2 was one of a trio employed on stage services for many years in that area. The distinctive Silver Star livery vanished forever with the takeover of the company by Wilts and Dorset Motor Services in the late 1960s.
