Armstrong-Saurer 1935 Pickfords
In 1931 Armstrong-Whitworth & Co. in an attempt to diversify its armaments manufacturing empire bought the U.K. manufacturing rights of the Swiss lorry firm Saurer of Abbon. This 1935 eight-wheeler among the first of its kind had many advanced features not found on its rivals until after the war but only a few were made as demands of re-armament took precedence over lorry manufacture.
