Corona Delivery Man
Local delivery never had the status and “glamour” of long-distance work in the lorry driving world but nevertheless could be harder work and more stressful fighting one’s way though urban traffic day after day. Here a delivery man, forever in a hurry [he IS parked on a bus stop], wheels in a consignment of Corona drinks from his Morris lorry and will collect the empties in the days when the one penny deposit on each bottle ensured that people re-cycled automatically. Disposable plastic bottles were unheard of but of course some clever accountant decided that they were cheaper and now they litter our streets, have to be cleaned up and make their dreary contribution to the general careless attitude to the environment we live in.
Were skirts really that short in those days?
