The Foden DG was a quality lorry built to last and ideal for the rough and tumble conditions of the construction industry and in post-war Britain there was a great boom as war-damaged cities were rebuilt and new projects started. Here a Foden of the giant Laing group is loaded with rubble on a site in the heart of London sometime in the late forties.
