Imperial Chemical Industries had a huge fleet of tankers for the transport of their sometimes highly dangerous chemicals and many were Foden’s like this S21 “Mickey Mouse” cabbed example. The drivers of these quality machines carrying such hazardous material always seemed to be men of at least middle age and as memory serves me always stuck strictly to the speed limit, not that a Gardner engined Foden of that vintage was capable of much above 35mph anyway.
