Leyland Marathon
Some say that the Leyland Marathon, developed on a shoestring budget to compete with rising foreign imports, should have been badged as an AEC. It did after all have an AEC engine and was originally developed and built at Southall until 1979.
This later MkII of Miners Metals, a Cummins-engined example of 1981 is seen at work in the tough environment of a typical scrapyard of the time.
